Certifications & Compliance
When you hire PropL, you're not just hiring a drone — you're hiring a team that operates under the same federal regulations as every other aircraft in U.S. airspace. We take that seriously, and so should you. Here's what stands behind every project we deliver.
FAA Part 107 Certified
Every PropL pilot holds an active FAA Remote Pilot Certificate under Part 107 — the federal license required to operate a drone for commercial purposes in the United States. That means our pilots have passed the FAA's aeronautical knowledge exam, understand U.S. airspace classifications, and stay current on recurrent training as required by federal law.
What it means for you: your project is being flown by a certified professional, not a hobbyist with a camera.
FAA-Registered Aircraft
All PropL drones are registered with the FAA UAS registration system and equipped with Remote ID broadcasting, as required by federal regulation. Our aircraft are clearly identified, traceable, and operated within the bounds of the National Airspace System.
LAANC Authorized
For projects in or near controlled airspace, PropL uses the FAA's Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability (LAANC) to obtain real-time flight authorization from air traffic control. Whether you're shooting near an airport, downtown, or in restricted zones, we secure clearance the right way — before we ever leave the ground.
Fully Insured
PropL carries comprehensive commercial drone liability insurance, with coverage available for the kinds of high-value projects we take on. Certificates of Insurance (COI) are available on request — just let us know who needs to be named as an additional insured, and we'll get it over before the shoot.
Coverage details available upon request.
Safe Flight Practices
Beyond the paperwork, every PropL flight follows a documented pre-flight checklist that covers airspace verification, weather assessment, equipment inspection, and on-site risk evaluation. We also adhere to all Louisiana state drone regulations, including statutes governing surveillance, privacy, and restricted facilities — keeping your project clean from the ground up.
Need Documentation?
We're happy to provide certificates, insurance verification, or compliance documentation for any project — especially for clients in real estate, construction, insurance, and corporate work where this paperwork is standard.
